Wow! Looks like the book release is less than a month away! I've started getting pretty excited about it, especially as the cover art is underway (looks really cool!). I might have to steal some pointers from Sierra Dafoe on how to promote--I've never seen a gal who was quite so proficient at it. *nudge, nudge*
I'll bet I figure it out though. *grin*
Darn my muses! On a day when I have to work later on, they're driving me to write more! Don't get me wrong, it's a good thing. It is more than a little annoying, however. Not only are they driving me to work some more on my mainstream novels (which isn't really a chore, but very time-consuming) but they've also planted this little seed for a new erotica story. I've tentatively titled it *The Stone Table* and after starting it at 6 a.m. I'm already about 5,000 words into it.
I need a drink.
That, too, is a pity because I have to tend bar tonight. Therefore, no drinks for Isabelle. instead, i get to watch OTHER people drink. Damn them anyway.
Ain't life grand? Why is it that edits always show up when you're up to your eyebrows in a new story that has nothing to do with the old ones? Geesch! Not only that, but for the first time in a long time my *real* life is starting to interfere with my writing schedule. Wow, that pisses me off. You know, six months ago I could write 7 days a week for 20 hours a day. Now I'm suddenly lucky to get more than 6 or 7 a day. You see, I own an antiques business (normally not intrusive but for some reason it has been for the past week) and I bartend for fun (what was two days a week last week is five days a week this week---darn fired bartenders!) plus I have a fairly demanding household (too many cats and a terminally hungry husband).
*Sigh*. Oh well. Who needs sleep? *grin*
So, I'm all excited about my books being bought, right? I'm so excited that I have already started work on another story, which (naturally) has nothing to do with Greek mythology. *sigh* How annoying.
Of course, I'm sure I'll find a way to make it all work out somehow---I guess we'll all have to wait and see.
Hooray! After five hours of tinkering, I finally have something that almost *almost* looks like a website. Wow! It's only fitting after all, that since my contracts made it to Changeling yesterday and my second book for them was finished the day before that that I should get cracking on this website! There's lots more coming soon, so keep in touch.
Thanks for stopping by!
